On July 23, 2020, the butterflies came. I was sitting outside in my yard reading when I noticed butterflies flying around me. They definitely caught my attention, so I got up and started taking pictures of them. I thought to myself, was this the “sign” I was asking God for? I looked up information about butterflies and that’s when I knew that it was absolutely the "sign" I was praying for. The word “Transformation” was so meaningful in so many ways. I knew from that day forward that starting a nonprofit was my purpose.
On December 29, 2020, Stages of Transformation, Inc. became a reality. On March 17, 2021, I submitted the paperwork for our 501c3, on April 21, 2021, our website launched, on September 10, 2021, we received our determination letter from the IRS for our 501c3, on October 8, 2021, we hosted our 1st Fundraiser and Fall Gala Celebration, and on June 22, 2023, we opened our Resource Center in Crystal Lake.
Over the years, many have asked about our Butterfly Logo and its significance, and on the 5-year anniversary I decided to share the details of that very meaningful day for me. Believe in yourself and know that God will always show you the way!
