International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held every year on August 31st with the goal to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It is also a day to memorialize all of those who have died as a result of drug overdose, offer sympathies to our dear friends and family members who have lost their loved ones, and to acknowledge those in recovery.
Remember that you are not alone, and with help and guidance, there is no limit to what you can do when you remain sober and fight for a better way of life.
